Bye to Andrea and Surfside (May 12)

I took these pictures of the outside of Andrea and Christoph's house at the end of my early-morning walk.

After breakfast, Andrea - who usually take the kids to school in Coral Gables - helped get Eva and Alex ready - as Christoph was taking them to the doctor's office for a regular check-up. They were concerned about getting to school late, since today was a special U.N. day with a parade.

Christoph got the car ready.

Andrea drove me to Coral Gables - even though she didn't need to go there today. As we drove across the bridge into Miami, from the beach, she pointed out an area under the bridge where she said several hundred convicted but released sexual predators - who can't find anywhere else to live - now live - a kind of post-jail concentration camp for sexual predators (which Andrea and I agreed seemed unfair).

As we drove around Coral Gables, it turned out that Andrea had been recently to my next destination: the Psychology department on the second floor of the police/psychology department - part of a big University of Miami parking garage - when she was taking Eva for a sleep disorder study.
